When I get a chance to check out my older TIS, I'll double check for you. Really strange I can't find any reference to the bulb replacement in my new TIS. You may be right in that the bulb may be buried inside one of the covers. It's got to be there somewhere. On regular headlamps it is located just above where the cover plate is near centre.
