Subject: M30 Troubles long

Hi,

I have been trying like crazy to try to get my m30 to work, I posted and recieved many ideas and support from roadfly forums too, but I wanted to consult and convey my troubles here for more ideas.

Since April I have not been able to drive my car, meanwhile I did everything else like change brakes and fix up paint and all that just at least to be getting somewhere with the car.

The car started with a knocking, checked and found to be a grinding crank position sensor and was changed and readjusted, after about a couple weeks one night, (slightly wet weather) I was driving the car, and in first gear revved up around a turn to about 5k rpm and on the once my foot was off the accelerator my car idled horribly , I tried to press the throttle again and the engine would almost stall, so I creeped my way over back home, (if I pressed the throttle slowly, or pulsating it would slowly barley revv up above and up to a 2000). Ever since the car will start maybe with some hesitation and idle normal once I rev it and it revs up to about 4k peak, and backfires once let go on the throttle. Sounds like its lean, but smells rich on idle. I check the obc when the problem occurs and I have a 2.9 to 3.3 l/h flow on normal and once after the reving deal I have a 4.2 L/h reading and horrible idle and the hesitant reving and all that.

Till today, I checked fuel flow from the fuel pump, about 1500cc changed filter, changed the fuel pressure regulator, checked fuel flow with engine off and relay jumped after the fpr and some occasions got 200cc in 30sec, when running I got a good amount of 1200cc, checked per chiltons. I checked the AFM and seems to be good with the vane resistance and air temp sens, checked throttle position switch with audible click and correct resistance and continuity, changed dme! Added more fuel in the tank. NO CHANGE.

Frusturating, recently on the last run I had a knocking from the exhaust and thought it could be a plugged catalytic yet I have good airflow out from the tailpipe, I will try dropping it from the manifold to see a change in running.

Still I have not yet found the fault. Any thoughts ideas?
Where is the fuel flow gauage for the obc?
The fuel pump when bypassing the relay, runs till pressure builds and you slowly hear it stop. I hope that should be normal. Can a cloged fuel return line after the fuel pressure regulator cause this too?
Any ideas?

If you really read through this I thank you soo much for your time, and thank you more for any ideas for solving this.

Tugrul
