Subject: Re: finally replaced the seals on my car

Hi Rajaie,

2 days ago I made a trip to BMW service center to check the vanos on my car after seals replacement. I've done enough city mileage (about 2000 km).
P0015 disappeared from DME error memory!

We decided to make vanos tests again using DIS software.
The result is 75% positive - the only failed test is vanos positioning time on exhaust side (DIS waits infinitely for this test to end). Vanos positioning time on inlet side and both leak tests are OK. No DME faults recorded. We've tried different exhaust CPS sensor and nothing changed. Additionally, we ran vanos tests on older DIS software and got the same result.

What could be the problem? Does it mean that vanos cannot adjust exhaust camshaft to extreme angles?

P.S. I have another issue on my car but cannot identify it precisely. It could be pinging or vanos rattle under heavy acceleration. It lasts for about 0.5-1.0 seconds.
P.P.S. May the fuel quality be an issue for vanos tests? I use 92 octane fuel.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
