Could you please explain some more of the problem you are experienceing?


I know that atleast the E38 uses 2 separate signals (reduntant) to determain any slip.

Firstly the gearbox have an "outputshaft speed sensor" and if that one fails, it (should) use the speedsensor on the diff.

In this way, it can see if there is any slip that shouldnt be by compairing input rpm vs output.


If you feel any slip, you should have gotten a code for that? Example "excessive shift slip 2nd to 3rd gear"
