Can anyone in the forum offer me some advice as to how I can remove the housing that supports the car battery? I have never had a problem replacing any car battery up until now. First there is the plastic cover and that wasnt much of a problem. The cables are easy enough to remove but there appears to be a metal plate that covers the car battery and there is a brass colored phillips-type screw that supportst the plate. Trouble is this screw is stripped. I also dont know if there is another screw on the opposite side because I cant see the other side. I know this seems silly for a mechanic but I could use some help trying to remove it myself. Worst case scenario is taking it to a BMW mechanic. Thanks!
