Disconnect it before it does more damage and yes you have to replace - it.
I would get a new one as used ones may also be unreliable - this is a variable speed unit controlled by the engine computer.

While it is off make sure you clean the rad behind it - and inspect for any damage to other components associated with the rads - AC, etc.

Depending on the outdoor temp this fan will affect the AC operation.

Also check that your outside temp reading is accurate - in case the sensor under the bumper was also damaged - that will also affect climate control operation.

You do have to pull the front bumper to get to the fan - so will have good opportunity to check other items.
