a bulb that may have one of the filaments burning out...or you may have a bulb that may have a loose filament or a filament that is nearly burnt out and when the warning illuminates on your dash...it could be from the LCM substituting another bulb in the rear assembly because the bulb that is supposed to be working is not or the resistance in that bulb has changed etc. some of your rear tail light bulbs may have a dual filament...and one of the filaments may be burnt out and the LCM is substituting & adjusting one of the filaments to adjust for either a brake or rear tail light.

The warning light is coming on for a reason, and it may be for a reason you don't understand fully...so again, check ALL of the bulbs (the rear tail light bulbs, the brake bulbs, the back up bulbs, and turn indicator bulbs. Something is going on.
