If you Don't have a vacuum leak anywhere on your engine--you will hear that noise that your discribing--whats happening is the build up of vacuum when the engine is at idle (thats when the vacuum is it's greatest) is being bled off when the engine is turned off--it take just a secound or two for one to hear the intake noise after turning off the engine--it's a normal thing --migh add you can still hear the noise and have a small vac leak--but if the engine is well maintained the louder the noise will be--I have noticed it ever since buying the car new from the dealership
