I have pretty much narrowed my new car purchase to these two cars. I recently drove both of them back to back and was impressed by both of them. The Audi A4 was the 3.2 with an automatic since the 6 speed manual won't be out till fall. The engine had plenty of power and I felt that the interior, especially the dash, was better looking than the BMW. But after driving the 330 it is clearly the better handling and performing car. The 330 seemed tighter and more precise than the A4. I actually liked the instrument cluster on the BMW with the dual display of temp. and clock. One thing I wished they had changed was expanding the trip computer to include driving time, but they didn't. The rest of the dash seemed like a lot of vinyl. The trim was the wood that I, personally, don't care for ...reminds me of a Buick. There is only one other thing that bothered me was the lack of a spare tire due to the run-flat tires. I understand the thinking on it, and it's true most of us have never had our spares out of the trunk, but I don't like having to be locked into driving on run-flats for as long as I own the car. Also, I always switch out my summer and winter tires. As far as I know there are no run-flats available in a winter tire. I feel that, at least,a spare tire should be optional. But, overall, I was very impressed with the 330 and exceeds the A4 in almost every area.
