Had something similar happen after a recent dealer service, they would,'t touch/repair or even look at it "because it is ALPINA and we can't touch it"???

Pulled the cluster out to find one plug had shaken loose. Pushed it back in, no problem since!

AHhhhh! ALPINA's!
