Hi everyone, Shogun reccommended I pick the brains of some transmission gurus out there, My problem is as follows, occasionaly the car would have a pause going into reverse after a long drive and the crash light (triangle with a circle around it) would come on periodically, trans program light came up a couple of times but did not go into limp mode. No nasty noises or anything else. After suspecting the check ball problem I did a valve body rebuild 2 days ago. As soon as I finished I took it for a drive, no problem at all while I am accelerating, every time I slow down when it changes from 2nd to 1st gear, BOING trans program and I am in limp mode. There is a very slight shudder just as it changes from 2nd to 1st followed by trans prog etc. It makes no difference if it is cold or hot. There was no nasty bits of metal in the trans sump. Im at a loss as to what it could be?????????? If I pull over and switch it off for 30 secs or so I am good to go again until I need to change from 2nd to 1st again. Any thoughts?
