This is all to common. Without enough "skin in the game" for your partner to begin with in your business relationship is risky. However business is risky and taking small but calculated risks is what makes a great Entrepreneur and is necessary to begin with. I do not know all the details from your info, this forum is probably too public for that but it sounds like you are harboring some guilt and would like to reconnect with your partner on a personal level. I believe you will need to establish some civil communication BEFORE you can really handle your business obligations. (finances) It will be easier. In business sometimes it has nothing to do with money. Broken relationships take there toll on you even more than any financial obligation. My advice would be to reconnect and balance this situation between the two of you just as you did in the beginning It will work out better this way and should prevent getting legal.
