Congrats on all the fixes. That's great! Thanks for sharing.

Hard to be sure what caused the improved fuel consumption when the engine mounts were replaced. You can consider that the kinetic energy that went into the engine vibrations is now being delivered to the drive train. The car motion is also now more linier.

The ATF in the engine oil is an old mechanics trick. I'm impressed it worked so well for you. I know it acts as a detergent and removes buildup. This could help many things, including lifters, valve seating, piston seal sealing.

Nice work catching the air clog. I’ve found leaves in these passages but you had an extreme case. Yeah, you would think this would cause a negative fuel trim. I wonder if the DME decided to change the dynamics of the engine and run rich for enhanced performance. I wonder what high altitude drivers experience.

Glad you now finally have better gas mileage than before installing the vanos seals. Congrats!
