Hello friends,

I am new to the forum so please forgive if this question has been asked before.
I would like to install xenon lights on my 2001 525i e39. My car is using halogen lights with Hella CELIS bulbs.

I have asked one of the BMW dealers here in South Africa for a quote on an upgrade to xenon lights. They want me to replace the entire headlight which will cost me over $1600 per headlight.
I thought there must be a less costly way to accomplish this.

What I would like to know is, is it possible to buy all the components of the xenon headlight system which I can just install myself? and what are those components?
