Even with the run up in price, Gold is still less than half its peak price (inflation adjusted). The only reason gold has quadrupled in price in 10 years is because the price was so low 10 years ago. In the past 100 years gold has barely kept pace with inflation. If you have the expertise, and time, to trade futures that puts everything into a different context.
