Hey Poolman, thanks for chiming in. I looked at the hoses but need some verification first. I'm looking at the smaller hoses, maybe, 7/32, one with a black with a blue stripe and on black with a yellow stripe. The blue one goes to the line that wraps around the vanos and the yellow one goes to one side of that charcoal canister thing. Another hose, around the same size, drops down from the manifold around the intake air temp sensor and connects to a tee. Before I took this apart the hose from the manifold was not connected and the tee had a plug on top of it. I read realoem.com and it showed this hose should have been connected. In any event I tested both ways with the same result. Also that blue and yellow hose is connected to that solenoid you mentioned. I have not checked for bad hoses yet but I'm just confirming we are talking about the same hoses. Thanks again for your insight. I think I am zeroing in with others help.
