The 01 540it died in the driveway Sunday afternoon. Turning the ignition only produced a few blips on the starter. The battery was completely drained I found. Took almost one full day to trickle charge it. Wife was driving it fine that morning. I know it happened for a reason. So it is under observation. We drove 250 miles today and it was fine. Anyone want to give a prognosis?

I found the passenger side front door does not have the keyed entry like the e34. So BMW skimped it?

Also if you disconnect the battery and closed the hatch. Is there a way to open it from the inside? The only keyed entry is from the front driver side door.

The car drives beautifully otherwise. The audio and speaker system is great. Since this is wife's daily driver I don't get to experience it much. Although the gas mileage is a different story.
