The switch is in the latch mechanism of the door itself and it is either stuck, not grounding, or failed.
So try this:
With the door open spray copious amounts of WD40 or any other mild penetrating solvent into the latch mechanism then close the door a few times and try again. Do this about 5 times and see if it frees up the switch.
If this doesn't work first rule out a broken wire or loose connection: You will need to pull the door card (lots of write-ups online with regard to the window regulator) and unplug the latch to test continuity and power. If this is OK then the switch itself is suspect. I believe you must replace the complete latch mechanism as the switch is integral... but I may be wrong.
