hi. we've been having problems with our 2000 323i. for the past couple of weeks it's been "stuttering" when trying to accelerate. today the service engine light came on and the car wasn't running as smooth as normal (shaking, vibrating a bit). i took it to autozone to get the obd2 test. on my way there the service engine soon light went out and the car was running a lot better again, no stuttering etc. at autozone they gave me codes p1421 and p1423. does anyone know what that means? after calling my local dealership they said it sounds like the ignition coil(?) and they suggested we drop off the car so they can hook it up to the obd2. but wouldn't they just come up with the same codes? they would also be charging us $90 for that. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
