Subject: Problems installing TCU bluetooth module in 2004 E46

I am trying to install a bluetooth TCU in my car and it is blowing the #7 fuse. Has anyone seen this before?

The car:
2004 325cic convertible built in July 2003.
No Assist previously installed
Pre-wired for a phone

The parts:
Bluetooth/Assist TCU & antenna from a 2006 330cic (convertible)
TCU part number 84 10 9120843-01
New microphone

This link has detailed instructions: . My car looks just like the pictures in the link.

I wasn't quite sure which antenna wire went where. My first try was the cream wire on the cream connector.

The physical part of the install went well. But when I reconnected the battery something wasn't quite right with the radio and it didn't notice the module installed. Fuse #7 was blown. I disconnected the TCU, replaced the fuse and everything was back to normal. Thinking the antenna could be messing things up I disconnected the antenna, reconnected the TCU, reconnected the battery, and bam, another blown fuse.

The guy I bought the TCU from claimed everything was working when he pulled it out. He removed it before the car was sold.

The obvious choices are:
1) I messed something up, somewhere
2) The TCU is not compatible with my car
3) The TCU is bad

Is there another step that I missed?

Anyone know what's going on? Is there anyway to test the TCU?

Thanks in advance for any help!
