Brian and Kiwijochen,

That ROCKS! Brian, for what it's worth, I was tempted to just do the TCU swap but I wanted to give this approach a shot first! I'm glad I was able to contribute... this board has made my experience as an M5 owner worth while: there are lots of awesome people here.

I'm sure that Jochen will have this included in some future version of NavCoder (it definitely should be there). I'm out of town from OH - currently in CA - so I can't play with my car but I'll be home soon, and I'm looking forward to the next challenge

Ultimately my son and I are working on a SD/USB interface which is to be located up front (perhaps plugging in where the cigar/ash tray is) for loading music through, and having the entire thing controlled through the MKIV buttons, screen, and the bottom diplay line of the instrument cluster. No more CD's - just SD's and USB's with entire music libraries. And no, we don't want to go the iPod approach - just raw music on media, so we can make "theme sticks." I think we can do all of this with a screen-less carputer that talks IBus... Ambitious, perhaps, but it will be fun

ciao!

-crds
