My trusty Palm Treo has just died and so I got an iPhone. It paired uneventfully, however, I do not get the far left/yellow status light, but do get the far right/green light when calling. I noticed a background 'click' when the iphone is paired, sort of like a scratch on an LP record every 5 seconds or so. The noise goes away if the bluetooth is off and returns when the BT is on. Deleting the phone and then repairing did not eliminate the noise. I have perhaps 5-6 numbers saved on the car and use outlook to sync my address book. I don't have any contacts just with emails. Any ideas?
