I've been looking around too. Not to replace my 7 but to replace my DD Jeep. I've got to tell you if you drive one of the V8's 545 or 550 you won't be going back to look at the 530's. I started my search by driving a couple '04 545's then yesterday drove a couple 530's. Within a minute I knew I was going to be going for the 545. Driving my wife's 740 and my V8 Jeep, the 530 felt like it had a bit less power than was really needed for the weight of the car. I would say test drive both and see what you think. I think you're going to have the same opinion as me coming from the land of V8 power.
