I have a 88 528e that we bought new...it now has 226K miles and my youngest daughter is now driving it....2 years ago it had the same problem..when it's very cold and the car sits out at night, it won't start..it will fire once then die...fire once and die...etc...indy put on air flow meter...problem gone...last winter same problem....indy put on good used cold start valve....problem gone....now problem returns...called indy he didn't really know what to change next...took to dealer...O2 sensor showed open..replaced....problem went away...until it got real cold again -10 now won't start...got new plug wires, plugs, cap and rotor...will replace these...anyone have other suggestions...
