Hi, visiting from the e38 board and wondered if anyone with an 850 has a electonic governor stopping you acceleration at 130mph. I understand that there is a factory speed limiter in place at 155 mph but my 1996 750iL has a electronic governor in the software of the ECU that is stopping me at 130mph. If any one has had this removed please let me know how it was done. My dealer tells me that they could do it if I had a DINAN package. I told that dealer, who is a DINAN dealer as well, that they don't make software for the 750iL. They only make the intake and exhaust and suspension upgrades. He didn't believe me until I showed him the website and description of the 750iL package. I also told him that if DINAN made the sofware I wouldn't need to ask the dealer to remove the governor because the software would take care of that anyway. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on this topic.
