I bought my 740 IL through a dealer auction. My friend owned a small dealership and put me down as a registered agent, i previewed all 75 BMWS. I liked the 740's so i bid on that model. I could not drive the car nor get it cpo but since it was 2001, and i did do a title check, i think i got a good deal.

I bought my 2001 740il in Oct. 2003 for 27,500. It had 62k miles. Perfect body and the interior was 9/10. I think i got a pretty good deal, even my local dealer was shocked.

My advice, go through the guy and save some money.
