My fairly new (2year old) 500GB Seagate Barracuda HDD died a few days ago, the Geek Squad wants $1800 to recover it. Is there anywhere that any of you guys know of that would be less expensive?

I hadnt backed it up yet because it was so new and Im thin on the funds right now. I guess I can get it back and wait until the proverbial sun comes back out. It has about 9 years of pictures, music, etc. Hard to put a price tag on all that.
