Read in your manual to see if there are similar instructions in the Assist module for clearing all paired phones. Also, I would still do the disconnect/reconnect on it to see if that gets it back to normal. I think that the Assist module is located in the trunk compartment on the left side, behind the gray felt trim. However, I am not as familiar with the layout of the E46.
