Just my luck that for two days, I am without my stereo due to this glitch. The minute I get my car into the dealer for diagnosis, everything is now working fine. Nuts.
With my description of everything that's been going on, I am told that it is the nav as they say that is a common cause of my symptoms. The tech is a friend of mine and I know he would never mislead me on purpose. The Colombus method of search and discovery repair is not very gentle on the pocket book though. It's one thing to know for certain and replace a defective part no matter the cost. $4G on a hunch is a little tough.
