...never really saw any practical use for them in most parts of the U.S. Maybe if you really needed a car in the city, but that's about it unfortunately.

I would think those things would be absolutely perfect for buzzing around the islands or the French countryside (for example), but they just have no place on our highways lumped along side giant SUVs and tractor trailers doing the 80+ MPH 'white-knuckle' daily commute.

I really liked that VW which Edwin had while his E38 was at ZF. Should I assume that model will never be coming here either?
