welp, i suppose it's customary to start with a thanks to David Cecil not only for this new forum, but also for the cool keychain that i won today at the SD SoCal7s meet! i'll paste a picture below as an advertisement for this board, David. cheers!

weather wasn't ideal, but Julia (my girlfriend) and i had a wonderful time this morning! i almost overslept the event but somehow we managed to get our lazy rears out of bed and on the road. we got lost. very lost (and i LIVE in La Jolla/San Diego!). but we ended up getting there fashionably late *grins*

i got to meet a few new people and see some of the usual 7er folks again, which was really nice. it was good to see that there were quite a few SD natives that attended (Jeremy, Randy, Cezar, and last but definitely not least, Al & the rest of his "A" family) and a few that came all the way from LA, too! Garrett showed up in yet another rental car which he proceeded to punish on the way out of the lot while Jeremy did smokey burnouts in his 750 while i watched enviously *laughs* fun times.

the "pink dots," as someone below so eloquently put it, are GUMBALL 3000 stickers that were applied to my car for the US Premier of the documentary/movie in Hollywood this last thursday. there was a parade drive from the CEC Wheels Showroom on Santa Monica Blvd to Mann's Chinese Theater on Hollywood blvd followed by chaos in the parking lot (ever seen triple parked ferraris & 911turbos? =] ) movie was great, parade drive was chaotic, event was fun and walking down the red carpet was definitely a new experience!
