tramlining. This is when the front tires follow ruts and grooves and actually 'steer' the car a few degrees left and right. Causes of this can be tires and can be affected by alignment. You say the front tires are new and with the tread depth the tramlining should be reduced. Different tires have different tendencies. The wider ones (same type) will usually tramline more.

Bryan had a 'self steering' he though was tramlining in this ///M535i. I drove the car and determined the 'steering input' was actually coming from the rear. His subframe bushings were shot. There was no control of the rear subframe and it would move a bit while drivein crooked roads, causing a slight redirection, and requiring a steering correction.

So see if the car is good on smooth roads and check the subframe bushings.
