I was mainly repeating the Subject line of the email I received from my mother. Neither I or nor my mother originated it, but I accept the blame and responsibility for not fact checking these pics closer. I apologize for any error in the facts.

While well intentioned, I am sure I would not have approved of using misleading photos to garner attention, sympathy and aid for the California fire survivors. As a Hurricane Katrina survivor myself, I would not have liked to have seen pictures from a non-Katrina hurricane be represented as damage from Katrina.

Thanks for clearing it up for me, geerhed. My apologies to everyone for the errors.
