Subject: 2005 Bluetooth & NAV Help

2005 M3 w/ assist&bluetooth and NAV. My manual has the bluetooth pin in it.

I have been unable to find a definitive resource for how to pair a BT phone with car. Doing a search/discovery on the BT phone(s) does not detect the car.

For what its worth, and this is what I find odd. The first few times I turned the car on, there was a 'telephone' option on the NAV display menu. I was able to move the 'cursor' over to it, but attempting to select/activate it would result in nothing happening. Over the course of the rest of that day, the 'telephone' option became grayed out and I was unable to move the 'cursor' over it. And now, there is no 'telephone' option on my NAV menu. Press any of the phone related buttons R/T and Talk button the steering wheel do nothing, pressing the phone button the NAV does nothing. Assist does work and is able to make calls on its own.

The only phone related thing I can get to show on the nav is by press and holding r/t, inserting and moving the key to the 1st click. This will cause the NAV to say "speed dial" Any BT phone does not see the car, and I am unable to get anything else out of the car. The two phones I tried are the Blackberry 7100t and Motorola V551. The Blackberry has known issues, but I was expecting at a minimum it would at least *see* the phone. On an '04 w/ the BT kit, it pairs. The Moto V551 is listed as fully compatible over at x5world.net.

Please, help. I will gladly try any suggestions, or if there is another resource I should be checking for help, I would appreciate any info.

Thanks
