I just got an 82 633csi, its an E12 based 6er. It has a good driveline; the P.O. says the engine was rebuilt 30K miles ago. It is a 5 speed and the clutch was recently replaced. I assume this has a G265, anyone know for sure? I got the car to do a 5 speed swap, but I thought it was an E28 since a 82 5er is a E28, but I was wrong. Basically I'm in the situation where I have an E28 and I want to convert to 5 speed, but I have an E12 parts car. Tranny will bolt up but I think most of the other stuff won’t,

**SO** What can I use from an E12 5speed car to convert an E28 automatic to manual??


Most of the Body is useless, Fenders and Quarters have a good amount of rust, doors have some, amazingly the hood and trunk are very clean so is the roof. Even the frame rails look pretty solid. The interior is black leather and other than the drivers seat it looks to be in decent shape.
The car recently developed an electrical glitch, cranks but no start and when in the ACC. position nothing works (radio, light, windows, etc.) I suspect the ignition switch. The car is too far-gone to drive or fix (IMHO)
I believe most of the parts are the same as E12 E3 and E9.
I want to keep the dash and the windows & trims, Maybe Tranny swap parts and a few items here and there that will fit my 87 6er Otherwise the entire car is available if someone needs it. The engine is Good to drop into another car, as is the differential, brakes,
subframes, steering , suspension. I really can't work on it for a while. So if someone local wants to take it now for FREE and give me stuff I want later on that could work.
I have some money into the car, but I don't mind eating all of that if I could keep those few things. Or If someone just wants to outright buy it that can work too. I'm open to ideas or trades or something. I just don't wan't to loose everything.
