Hiya David! Well those pics were taken quite some time ago. They are the ones I saved from the Ebay auction site. The paint has faded somewhat and is flaking in spots and needs to be redone. The rust while minor has shown up in many areas. The window corners especially and the trunk seems to take in a fair amount of water. It does have points still. I don't mind though. Guess I'm just a glutton for punishment! Like I said earlier she's got a bad head. She was running fine and then I took her to work and refused to start. So I put in new wires, plugs, cap & rotor. Then it seemed like no spark. So I bought a new coil. I finally got her to start but it seemed really rough running but I had to get it out my my jobs parking lot and home so I drove it home which is about 7 miles. She got hot twice and died! Temp gauge maxed out. She restarted after the 1st time but after the 2nd she died I had to have a friend tow her for me. Got her home and realized I may have crossed a plug wire....(what stupid thing to overlook!). Anyway I was cleaning all the connections and the positive cable swung up and tapped the positive battery pole and burned out the starter well actually the solenoid. So I replaced the starter/solenoid unit and after checking everything out she started.
The idle was everywhere from 500 to 3500...couldn't keep her level which I never had a problen with before. Keep in mind now that I've also replaced nearly all the vaccuum hoses as well as the intake bellows. I've also noticed that on the exhaust manifold there was moisture like oil or something in spots directly under where each of the spark plug ports are. Sounds like bad head gasket. Anyway I think that by running her so hot probably cracked and/or warped the head. She starts and I can driver her around the parking lot but I have to keep feathering the accelerator pedal. So that's where we are with her right now. She my baby and I'm just dying not being able to drive her. It's been like this since April but $$$ has been tight as my wife hasn't be able to work for nearly 3 years due to cancer and a work related injury but her compensation should come sometime in the next few months to a year. Anyway here are some more pic of what I have....will keep you updated....where do you live BTW? Take care and have a great weekend!
