I have a 2003 M5 and I just got the Bluetooth kit from BimmerNav.com. The phone is a Cingular 8525 w/WM6. Just wondering if someone can help me out with two problems I am having?

1. I get a crackling sound in the system when the phone is anywhere in the front of the car. Its like its too close to the bluetooth antenna. If I put the phone on the rear deck where the window is, not only do people say I get instantly clear, but they get clear as well. Tried this with my wifes PPC-6700 as well. I am going to try a friends BlackBerry later today.

2. Contacts show up on the screen in the directory and I can even browse them using the R/T button on the wheel. But when I say "Dial Name", the it says the phonebook is empty.

Does anyone know how I can solve these problems? Figured I would try this before calling BimmerNav since this is listed as a link for support on their site.

Thanks for the help,

Alex
