Subject: Aluminum Billet Cable Bushing Kits

For those of us who have broken bushings, this beats the cost of a new cable by 4 to 1. For those who want improved throttle response. The aluminum bushing attaches firm to the bracket. The old rubber mount was fatigued which allowed the cable to slack. With the metal bushing, you can adjust out all of the slack. This gives two benefits.

1. When you press on the throttle, the response is instantaneous. I had my son drive my car without telling him what I did. He did notice that it seemed quicker than before. This is based on the fact that I almost never let him drive my car. He liked the difference so much, I am making a set for his 1990 535i.

2. Since the slack is out of the cable, the throttle position, as sensed by the EMC through teh Throttle Position Sensor, is smoother, giving a more consistent read from the fuel map.

The kit is for 2 Billet Aluminum Bushings with Snap Rings and a spare set of snap rings. And instructions for the installation. I am buying 50 sets from a local machine shop that I deal with in an effort to reduce the cost. Cost for each kit is $28 plus shipping. I believe that shipping will consist of a Bubble envelope with USPS Postage. Anyone interested can e mail me. Thanks
