4 wheel drive in CNY in the winter would be a wonderful thing to have. One of the few vehicles that I was considering while looking for the E32 was a Range Rover; 90-95 LWB or 96-02 4.6 HSE but liability is very low. With the conditions of the roads you need an SUV as well. The city patches necessary spots instead of paving the entire road so when the plow hits the patch jobs, it tears nice big pot holes in the road.

The garbage strike is impressive. Once a year my neighborhood gets together and everyone cleans the river in front of our neighborhood as well as the island that sits in the middle of the river. There are overpowering water chestnut plants that grow on the sides of the river anywhere from 2-50 feet from the shore. There is a boat that comes through once a summer that picks the plants up from the roots but people in kayaks and canoes with garden rakes get the job done much quicker. The boat gets the job done in about three weeks when all of the neighbors can get it in 2-4 days, depending on how many plants grow.
