I have experience with the Boysen (original), Bosal, Ansa and Remus exhausts. I replaced the original exhaust on my '88 528e (Super-eta motor w/factory dual pipes) with a Bosal system - it was the cheapest. I was VERY impressed with the quality of this system - 18 months so far without any signs of external rust and it sounds great. A couple months ago, we replaced the original exhaust on my father's '89 325i (at 362,000 miles) with a Bosal. We were not impressed at all with the Bosal E30 quality or sound. Won't make that mistake again (at least not on an E30). In 1995 when I bought my '89 325is I replaced the exhaust with a Remus stainless system. Since then, I've driven 70,000 miles, mostly either to and from or on the track - the car is a dedicated track car now. The Remus system sounds great and shows no signs of corrosion. I have a friend with the Ansa system on his 325i - seems like a little better quality than the Bosal, but is too quiet.

I agree with davidc & SnakeEyes325is - go with a dealer installed Boysen. Or at least the Boysen system and install it yourself. If you're going to do it yourself, check the condition of all hangers and fastners. You can find a kit online for $30-40 that contains all seals, hangers, nuts & bolts required for the job.
