The Bluetooth system will give you voice recognition so there will be no need for additional voice modules or wiring for voice modules. The BMW voice module is no pretty much obsolete since BMW started putting this feature in the Bluetooth modules. You can pair 4 phones at a time with the BMW system. The last phone paired takes priority. In the example of you and your wife with bluetooth phones in the car at the same time with your phone paired last: When you both get in the car, your phone will be enabled in the car. If you get out and she stays in, shortly after you go out of range the system will roll over to her phone.

It is a really good designed system and has been fine tuned for the last 4 years by BMW. Just make sure that you get the newest ULF module available as they have incorporated all of the updates
