With my XKR's slower Benz tranny and the lack of a VANOS type setup like your & my E38, the car isn't as responsive right off. I like to say that the tranny likes to think a little before it decides to act. Once it gets going, it is quite fun, the lower pulley, you can feel the difference under full acceleration. Is the XKR a C5, C6 or even a Camaro SS, Trans AM beater, no. But it is about as elegant looking of a conv/coupe as it comes with an attitude, perfect car for my wife. I drive it occasionally, but space is too tight and wrong color for me :-)
