My son experienced the classic splash guard destruction the other night and broke the wire for the ambient temperature sensor. I'm going to repair it tomorrow when I replace the shield, but tonight he tells me his a/c is doing crazy things. The fan speed is changing (while not on auto), it blows hot then cold, etc. Is there a relationship between the sensor and the a/c?
