With the S/50 you can record up to 50 hours of programming either live by song or by selecting shows one time, Mon-Fri, or daily. It also has sports ticker that displays your favorite sports scores. Sirius is like cable tv for your radio. As well as over 100 channels of music which you can select by genre, artist or song it has news, comedy, weather, traffic and talk including Howard Stern which I have been recording daily. I can then remove the smaller top portion and listen to it through headphones or my fm transmitter. I am waiting for delivery of the home dock that will hook up to my stereo system. I can also download mp3's from my computer into the S/50.
The service is 12.50 per month but I chose the lifetime membership which was $499. I will never have to pay a monthly bill! I am new to satellit radio but so far I love it!
