Hello all, i am usually on the e38 board, but today my wifes 01 325i has an issue. She left her lights on and the car wouldn;t start. I left work to see what the issue was, determined the battery was too drained, and gave it a jump from my 01 740il. Yes, I know how to ensure that the car is juped correctly at the right points etc.. My question is:

Once I jumped the car, it turned over immediately. The check engine light then lit up and won't turn off. Is this related to the battery dying? Anyone with a similar experience?

The car is CPO's until tommorrow of course, so a trip to the dealer is going to cost me from now on. Unless of course it is related to work they had done recently ( replaced transmission, and entire exhaust system under warranty ).
