Subject: Christmas Came Early For Minneapolis & Saint Paul...

Yes, I got a couple parking tickets and a tow within the last 30 days and this is how it unfolds...

It all started in downtown Saint Paul while visiting a buddy of mine on a Monday night. I was gabbing about work over a beer and heard my car alarm proximity sensor chirp go off, but didn't really see anybody. Well... when I left, I saw that I got a ticket because my car was parked in a zone that didn't allow parking from 2am-7am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays... talk about a bummer huh? I think they do that because they need to clean the streets a few times week in downtown, but who knows?

The other ticket from Minneapolis was from them cleaning the streets. They put the signs up the day before, called people that had landlines and left messages (which I don't have anymore, just my cell) and cleaned the next day. I work evenings, and the street is usually full of cars from the postal parking. I think there were enough cars to cover the signs so I didn't notice them. I took the Bimmer to work and later returned late that night but didn't notice any signs? My car was ticketed and towed the next morning. My neighbors told me afterwards that they saw them towing my car... even honking their horn to try to get my attention? My one neighbor knocked at my door, but unfortunately didn't ring the doorbell and I was asleep. I'm going to court over the ticket since I'm hoping for a break in this matter since they posted the signs the day before, plus paying a total of almost $170 doesn't seem fair when money is tight and once again... more problems affiliated with those postal employees (no offense if you're a postal employee, just generalizing) parking in areas where they aren't supposed to be parking.

So as the saying goes....

Tickets, headache, stress and tow $192.00.... Trivial moments to laugh at yourself and life... Priceless.
