Here is how you enter the navigation service menu:
* Push the "MENU" button to enter the main menu.
* Scroll to the "SETTINGS" menu selection and click the knob to select it.
* Push and hold the "MENU" button for about 8 seconds to enter the GPS Service Menu.

There are several screens within the Service Menu that can give you some GPS status information. First, click on the "GPS" selection. Within GPS, there are three screens that will tell you if and how many satellites the nav computer is tracking.

Then, there is another option below "GPS;" I think that it is named something like "SENSOR STATUS." Anyway, select this menu, and it will show you if the gyroscope, compas, and wheel speed sensors are working.

These menues will give you a perspective on what the GPS think of itself. One of the screens will give a specific error message, like "ANTENNA ERROR," which could lead you to a diagnosis.
