Subject: Re: Who's done bodywork? How worried should I be about this?

I am not sure what that is but it may be a bubble caused by rust under bondo or light filler. Bodywork is really an art. Not everyone can do it. The problem is getting it to turn out right. Getting door gaps to fit, panels to look right and flat, not having paint peel after 6 months takes time and serious practice. There is a sizable investment in tools, materials and time to do the job right and have the color match. Welding can be a bitch trying to fab up new panels. Sanding sucks or you could get into a Zen mode and it may become enjoyable. Some things are better left to a pro. He or she already has a lung full of bondo dust and thinner fumes have eaten their fair share of brain cells. Plus they already spent thousands on paint guns, sanding tools, mig welders, plasma cutters, buffers, tape and sandpaper ranging from 36 grit to 2500 grit.
