they've chosen not to put it out for all to see/hear...a good move if you're embarrassed about how that side of the story might be perceived. I say "the court was not impressed" simply because they found in favor of the plaintiff. Not much else to say about that.
I have every reason to suspect that the dealer completely fucked this up. Dealers rarely ever want to own up to stupid mistakes and will almost always downplay damage and events or even blame the customer for stuff like this. I do not know the M5 owner and I do not know the dealer...but I do know that once all of the evidence was presented in a court of law, the jury found in favor of the plaintiff. Funny how after reading miles of threads on this event it ended up playing out exactly like I suspected it would...and hoped it would.
I have no idea what the plaintiff was suing for but as always in civil court you go for the jugular and settle for much less. In the end he got top dollar for a fucked up M5 and his lawyer took home a nice chunk too. That is, if the judge doesn't raise the award...or lower it. I imagine it will go as is...just a guess
