Hello:

I am new to this forum. Can anyone tell me the AVERAGE life expectancy of a 2001 540i Sport Package with an automatic transmission? My vehicle has 94,000 miles on it currently and after spending $1400 for a water cooled alternator and $1200 (labor included) for a drive shaft because of engine torque in the last 3 weeks I am deciding whether to keep the vehicle or "cut my losses".
